Attorney Dale Perdue devotes himself fully to each case, pursuing every detail until he knows he can get the best possible result for his clients. He focuses on complex personal injury and wrongful death cases in the areas of traumatic brain injury, trucking accidents, and product liability. By working his way through school as a law clerk in personal injury, Attorney Perdue realized this was the area of law that was the best fit for his skills in order to improve the lives of others.
During his 29 years of practice, a few cases stand out. Take the explosion of a modular home that killed a little girl and took her grandmother's leg. No one knew what caused the explosion, but Attorney Perdue made it his mission to find out. And indeed he did after two years, hundreds of hours of meetings with engineers and other professionals, and thousands of miles of travel. He discovered that a gas leak caused the explosion and obtained a significant settlement for the family.
"I think that being a trial lawyer is the most interesting job in the world, because I am able to help people by solving complex mysteries," states Attorney Perdue. "I get to play Sherlock Holmes in the real world. I collect evidence (clues) and use many disciplines-engineering, biomechanics, physics, medicine-to figure out what caused an accident. I love to figure out what went wrong and then hold the responsible person or company accountable"
Dale Perdue is listed in the Best Lawyers in America and is certified by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. As President of the Franklin County Trial Lawyers Association (1995-1996) and the Ohio Academy of Trial Lawyers (1996-1997) he has the rare distinction of serving back-to-back presidencies for two of the state's leading lawyer organizations.
Another memorable case involved a serious brain injury. A passing car slammed into a man as he checked the mailbox at the end of his rural driveway. The insurance company denied the brain injury claim, and the case went to trial. During the trial, after Attorney Perdue turned their own annuities expert and neuro-psychologist against them, the insurance company realized their errors and made a generous settlement offer. Confident of his client's case, he rejected the offer. The jury came back with an award more than five times the amount of the insurance company's original settlement offer.
Dale Perdue is a firm believer in community service as he's involved with numerous charitable causes and participates in the American Heart Walk, where he was the ninth leading fundraiser in the country last year. He also supports organizations that help homeless families and the homebound.
