Contract Disputes

Contract disputes happen when a company or person fails to live up to the terms of a commercial contract. This could be an employment contract or some other binding agreement that negatively impacts your livelihood or quality of life.

Some examples of contract disputes include:

Business disputes such as commercial disputes, including breach of contract, breach of anti-solicitation agreements, contractual disputes involving employment issues, misappropriation of trade secrets, unfair competition or business dealings, and partnership or shareholder disputes.

If you have entered into a binding contract, either individually or on behalf of a business entity, you can recover damages when other parties to the contract fail to perform, including damages for out-of-pocket expenses, injunctive relief, loss of benefits, and other incidental and consequential damages. This is considered breach of contract.

If you are involved with claims of misrepresentation, whether intentional or negligent, including claims based on the concealment of fact, this is considered fraud litigation.

Real estate disputes are another form of contract disputes. Claims for buyers and sellers of commercial and residential real estate, including breach of contract and failure to disclose would be considered as contract disputes. Also construction claims, landlord-tenant disputes, eminent domain actions, adverse possession and quiet title claims are fairly common contract disputes.
