A multivehicle accident in Licking County resulted in fatalities yesterday morning.   The crash occurred around 5 a.m. on I 70 westbound. Police report that a Mazda and a Dodge Caravan were travelling eastbound on I 70 when the Mazda rear ended the Caravan causing both vehicles to strike the median. A Chevrolet that was traveling westbound struck the Mazda.
The driver of the Mazda was ejected from the car. The driver of the Chevrolet was airlifted to Ohio State University Medical Center.   It is unclear whether there were other injuries in this accident. Officials report that at least one person is dead but they have not released the identity of the deceased or the identities of any of the injured parties.
This fatal I 70 accident remains under investigation.
